This is a research associate position at the National Wildlife Research Center providing research support to the Economics Project. The Economics Project conducts research on human wildlife conflicts.

As a Research Associate in Economics, you will be responsible for conducting economic research, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of economic models. You will work closely with other members of the team to collect and analyze data, produce reports, and contribute to research papers and presentations.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting economic research using a variety of data sources and research methods
  • Analyzing and interpreting data, and creating economic models
  • Contributing to the development of research papers, reports, and presentations
  • Collecting, organizing, and managing data sets
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest economic trends, developments, and research findings
  • Collaborating with team members on research projects
  • Presenting research findings to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting in grant writing and proposal development

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

  • Undergraduate degree in economics

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Experience with econometric analysis and modeling
  • Knowledge of statistical software, such as Stata, R, or SAS
  • Ability to communicate complex economic concepts and findings to non-experts
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
