Constituent Advocate

Office of Congressman Joe Neguse 

Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District 

We are seeking a full-time Constituent Advocate to lead on social security, healthcare, and seniors casework. This position is in person and acts as a liaison to federal, district, and local agencies for Congressman Neguse. 

Areas of Responsibility 

● Acts as the representative for the Congressman within their area of responsibility including answering casework correspondence, meeting with constituents, verbal and written communications with constituents, as well as serving as a liaison with federal, district, and local agencies; 

● Continually monitors active cases and acts as a liaison with constituents to ensure that their cases are handled in a responsive manner by federal agencies; 

● Adheres to deadlines for casework follow up and provides quick and thorough responses to constituent inquiries either via phone or email; 

● Maintains up-to-date files and notes on all cases and categories of information of importance to the office; 

● Creates and maintains a catalog of relationships that the office has in the assigned issue areas; 

● Occasionally participates in community events to promote the constituent services the office provides; attends meetings or events on behalf of the Congressman as assigned. 

Position details Full time, in person, salaried 

Location: Congressman Neguse’s Fort Collins office 

Start date: May 22, 2024 or mutually agreed upon start date 

The salary range for this position is $58,000-$70,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, federal retirement, paid vacation and sick leave, student loan repayment, and federal holidays off.
