Program Management Intern

Program Management Internship 


 

Location: Virtual Internship


 

Supervision and training by: Community Department Program Manager Tanequa Moore 


 

Start date: Summer 2024

I’Raise is looking to hire two Program Management Interns. The interns will work alongside the Program Manager to assist in existing and new program management. The interns will be in charge of communicating with different departments and scheduling meetings. The Program Management Interns will act as the point of contact between the Program Manager and the people included in the programs. They will communicate the meeting notes and what actions need to be taken for the programs to anyone included in the programs. 


 

Through the help of the Program Manager, the Program Management Interns will gain experience in preparing the presentations and persuading the Executive Team on going through with the programs. They will also be in charge of conducting case intake and wellness checks with parents and volunteers.


 

Daily life of a Program Management Intern:

  • Taking on a caseload: communicating with parents, case worker or other involved parties. 
  • Develop and lead team schedules and tasks.
  • Summarize and communicate meeting action items and decisions to the corresponding team/department. 
  • Oversee multiple projects and follow up with core team members to achieve the target program outcomes. 
  • Taking the initiative to create forms and documents for the program. 
  • Assist in preparing and developing for new programs. 
  • Facilitate program workshops. 
  • Perform duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • College students currently pursuing a degree in business administration, social worker, human services, management, communications, or other business related fields.
  • Experience in leadership position. 
  • Excellent verbal, analytical, organization, and written skills.

Internship schedule: 

  • Depends based on what your college requires for fieldwork hours 
  • Our Community Department Program Manager will fill out any required paperworks

Who we are: I’Raise is a nonprofit organization that provides educational and mental-health assistance to minority youths in New York and Georgia. I’Raise started as a mentoring program and has grown to work with multiple DOE schools to provide various services such as tutoring, coaching, college prep, performing arts, etc. I’Raise’s mission is to empower and inspire minority youths to become successful leaders by providing youths help in every step of their way.
