Business/Data Analyst Intern Job Description
Vertice AI, a fast-launching fintech delivering consumable AI for credit unions and regional banks, is looking for a Business/Data Analyst Intern. This position offers the right person the potential to progress into a broader role in the future with Vertice AI.

Job Description and Activities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets of customer and financial data using SQL and Python
- Design, build, and productionalize analytical models that help the Vertice solution predict customer behavior, product needs, and member journeys
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to identify and solve complex business problems
- Actively participate in the ideation, design, and overall product development roadmap.
- Proactively learn about new technologies and provide recommendations to the team on how to create the best solutions for Vertice AI.
- Participate in regular design reviews and collaborations with the Vertice AI team and partners and are comfortable using Microsoft Teams and using video and audio to engage remotely.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or engineering
- Academic-Level coding experience
- Proficient in SQL
- Proficient in Python
- Proficient in algorithms and data structures
- Previous internship experience; or demonstrated work on personal projects (feel free to send us your Github profile)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates leadership in field of study, extra-curricular activities or service organizations
- Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful and inventive
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization, customers, and stakeholders as needed
- Proven ability to deliver creative solutions to complicated problems
- Candidates must be enrolled in a United States based institution and/or have work authorization in the United States to be eligible to participate
