Marketing Assistant - Global Campus

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY: 

The Marketing Student Assistant's primary role will be assisting the Global Campus (part of the Extended Learning and Community Engagement Division) in creating and collecting marketing collateral. This position will also share front office responsibilities with another student worker, which will include answering the front office phone and some light administrative work, i.e. printing, scanning, and stuffing envelopes. This position will have a flexible schedule with approximately 20-30 hours per week for the summer and is renewable each subsequent semester for 10-20 hours per week, depending on the work available.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design marketing collateral, including brochures, digital ads, videos, and audio files.
  2. Research and create content for Global Campus social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
  3. Assist in maintaining an archiving system for content.
  4. Prepare inquiry and admitted mailing packets.
  5. Schedule and conduct interviews with current and past Global Campus students.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director/Assistant Director of Global Campus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Design background using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other similar programs
  2. Interest in content or social media marketing
  3. Capable of using new and innovative technology
  4. Above-average communication skills – writing, speaking, and listening
  5. Familiar with distance education or non-traditional students
  6. Strong organizational skills
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing multiple concurrent projects

  1. Graphic design experience
  2. Podcasting experience
  3. Customer relations/service experience
  4. Videography experience
