UNION - Graphic Designer 1: Student Union Marketing | UWM On-Campus Employment Office

This is the perfect job for students who want to work in the graphic design field. Candidates must have working knowledge of basic graphic design concepts and the tools within the Adobe Creative Suite. In this position, employees will create original art work in collaboration with other student and professional designers. Designers will share their work with copywriters, marketing specialists and clients through a modern proofing process before seeing their work produced and deployed around the UWM campus. All work is completed with close mentorship and supervision.

Job requirements

* Creativity, ability to read and follow directions; work well under deadlines and with others.

* Knowledge of type styles, design principles, basic skills in layout and illustration.

* Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.

* Ability to work independently.

* Research and design a wide variety of print promotional materials on a daily basis using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

* Create materials that adhere to design guidelines.

* Construct posters, banners, display cases, and other installations.
