Campaign Finance Intern

Rise Political Strategies is searching for interns for the summer, upperclassmen preferred but underclassmen will also be considered. We are a political consulting firm that fundraises for Democrats at the state and national level as well as non-partisan organizations. We will have space for one or possibly two students to work with us this summer. We will be able to better assess capacity and needs after the primary. Applicants are ideally juniors or seniors with serious interest in working on political campaigns.

Responsibilities would include:

- donor research, compiling information on individuals who regularly give in PA (including but not limited to, political and philanthropic giving history, contact information, occupation, etc)

- making calls for donations or events

- staffing fundraisers

- other similar tasks as needed

These would be across any or all of our clients as needed. This would be lots of spreadsheet work and research on OpenSecrets as well as general engine searches for contact information, background, etc. We will help interns learn and become more comfortable with these skills.

This internship could be hybrid or fully virtual (we would really love interns to join us in the office occasionally, it's great exposure), 10-15 hours/week, and paid $15/hour. We would also be happy to accommodate requirements for students to earn academic credit. Our office is in Center City, a short walk from Suburban or 15th St Stations. Starting date is flexible in May or June and will go throughout the summer.
