DDI’s Film Intern will primarily be responsible for filming and editing promotional and informational videos for the agency. Ideal candidate will be able to do everything from concept to creation including pre-production planning, lighting, filming, editing, adding lower thirds and other graphics, as well as publishing to social sites. The successful Film Intern will be comfortable working with people with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. In return, the film intern will gain invaluable real-world work experience in the areas of marketing and communications.

Pay Range: $15.00/hour (16-20 hours per week)

Requirements

  • Preferably a junior pursuing a degree in film, television, or related field
  • Experience creating, editing and publishing videos
  • Knowledge of various aspects of video pre- and post-production
  • Ability to quickly learn and use cameras and ancillary equipment including DSLRs, light kits, microphones and teleprompters
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Solid team player with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently

Responsibilities

  • Film, edit and produce promotional and inspirational videos, interviews, executive addresses, short clips for social media, and more as required
  • Export and organize footage, images, audio, and other digital assets
  • Photograph and retouch high quality pictures of people, places and events for website, advertising, newsletters, social media
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of communications department

Physical Job Requirements / Work Conditions

  • Must be able to lift, carry and set up equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to commit to 16 - 20 hours per week
