Engineering Intern
Duties:
- Maintains updated Operator Description Sheets at all stations on the manufacturing floor.
- Update Plant Floor Drawing in AutoCAD
- Creates Production Setup Procedures at all applicable equipment on the manufacturing floor.
- Conducts time studies to establish performance standards and line balancing requirements.
- Assists in managing all assembly processes relating to the manufacturing procedures.
- Keeps abreast with the latest in control technology and safe work practices.
- Responsible for ensuring that all assembly processes comply with BWI ergonomic standards.
- Recommends and initiates modifications of replacement of equipment that fail to meet
Operating Standards.
- Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Other position requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and working towards a 4 year B.S. degree in Engineering.
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week
- Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in automotive related position an added plus
- CAD experience CATIA or Unigraphics an added plus.
- Solid analytical skills and work effectively with customers, suppliers, and the development team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail, organization skills and follow up
- Proficient in MS Office
