The Polsky Tutoring Labs are seeking highly motivated, dedicated students interested in working as peer tutors in our tutoring labs.   Peer tutors work one-on-one with students, helping students meet with increased success in courses they find difficult.  All tutoring sessions are appointment-based and are held in our Math Lab (Polsky 332).  While earning some income has its benefits, playing a significant role in the academic success of others is a daily reward for everyone on our team of outstanding student employees.  All majors are encouraged to apply!

Qualified candidates:

  • must be available Thursday, August 22, 2024, for paid training;
  • are undergraduate students enrolled in 6 or more credits each semester while employed;
  • have completed Precalculus (or a higher level math course) with a B+ or higher
  • have a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA;
  • have morning or early afternoon availability several days per week;
  • are willing to work at least ten (10) hours per week;
  • possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • have a strong work ethic and a commitment to doing tasks the right way;
  • have an outgoing, friendly personality; and
  • are driven to be a successful, contributing member of a team.
