Assistant Director of Student Leadership and Engagement

Position:  North Platte Community College is seeking an enthusiastic, positive, team-oriented individual to join our team as the Assistant Director of Student Leadership and Engagement. Looking for someone who:

  1. Is committed to fostering a vibrant residence life culture
  2. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Has relevant experience in student development, residence life, or related areas

This is a full-time, live-in position, aimed at enriching the residential experience for our students. The role of this position will revolve around enhancing the quality of life for students living on campus, coordinating Student Leadership Development, assisting Residence Life Directors to create an inclusive residential community, planning and implementing student activities and leadership events, and advising NPCC Student Senate. This role will also lead the development of our MPCC Student Leadership and Cultural Education Plan and coordinate service-learning events area-wide.

 

About us:  Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county district in West-Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open-access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree and computer skills are required. Previous experience in Leadership, Student Life, Student Affairs, or related fields is helpful. Customer "people skills" is a must, with experience in diversity, personnel management, and team or community development is preferred.  The ability to communicate in multiple languages is helpful.
