Strategic Content Intern

***Job Type: Part-time, Internship, May to June 2024

Reporting to: Program Strategy Writer, Business Development Unit Team

Job Description: Operation Smile is seeking motivated undergraduate or first-year graduate students with a background in Marketing, Journalism, Political Science, or International Relations for a part-time internship position from May to June 2024. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic nonprofit organization while contributing to life-changing initiatives around the world.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop Programmatic Narratives & Written Materials

  • Translate technical programmatic information into compelling narratives that can serve as a solid foundation for all global communications and fundraising needs.
  • Offer writing assistance and tailor materials to specific needs.
  • Update 31 Country Overviews describing the programs that will take place during the Fiscal Year, including budget, outputs, narrative, and design.
  • Maintain and update various other documents as required.
  • Coordinate with team members to track progress and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

 

CHARCTERISTICS/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English with superb writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for humanitarian work and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
