Job Description

The Offline Operator is the entry level position in our Extrusion Department. As an Offline Operator, you will utilize standard tools and assist in the setup of reels for production and breakdown of reels for returned product.

 

This position is a full-time position, on-site at our extrusion plant located at:

860 Garden St.

Elyria OH 44035

 

Hosting Open Interviews Every Wednesday 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

 

What can you expect in the Offline Op. role at Dura-Line?

  • You will utilize various equipment including hydraulic reeler, electric reeler, lift truck, table saw, rotor, and band saw to produce high-quality finished products.  
  • You will physically parallel or coil ducts according to specifications, ensuring products meet the highest standards.
  • You will create custom-built reels to meet coiling requirements.
  • You will process cables according to specific requirements to ensure optimal functionality.  
  • You will paint and stencil reels for a polished and professional appearance.
  • You will assist grinding in the disposal of scrap pipes. 
  • You will perform all work cautiously, with safety of yourself and fellow team members at the top of mind always.
  • You will help to maintain a safe space for your team to share feedback and ideas for improvements.

What does Dura-Line need from you?

  • Your commitment to being a reliable and punctual team player. (Attendance on scheduled workdays is a must!)
  • Your commitment to wearing gloves, eye protection, and steel toe boots always, and dust mask, earplugs, hard hats, and face shields as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly workspace.
  • Your ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, as well as the ability to push and pull pipe coils.
  • Your ability to work most of the time indoors on the plant floor, with heat, dust, and noise and work some of the time outdoors in any weather condition.
  • Your ability to remain in a stationary, standing position 80-100% of the time. Must be able to squat, bend, or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.
