The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Inc. is currently seeking a Disabilities Coordinator. Under general supervision, the Disabilities Coordinator is responsible for the designing, planning, organizing, and implementing the comprehensive disabilities services of the Head Start/Early Head Start Program. This includes overseeing the smooth functioning of the program in all areas that provide these services to children and families, and to support the goals of the program. The Disabilities Coordinator ensures compliance with performance standards and recognized best practice in disabilities services and community networking. This position is a part of the Head Start Management Team and works in tandem with other program coordinators and specialists.

Candidates must have:

  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master's degree in early childhood special education, special education, psychological examiner or school psychologist.
  • Certified or Licensed professional with experience and expertise in serving young children and families preferred.
  • Three years of experience working with disadvantaged and low-income clients.
  • Securing and individualizing services for children with disabilities and mental health concerns.
  • Must maintain license or certification.
  • At least one-year experience in an administrative area.
