Paid Sport Management Intern // Summer 2024

Skyhawks Sports Academy Austin / San Antonio is a locally owned franchise of a national sports company committed to teaching children ages 2-12 life skills through sports with a focus on safety, improving sport skills, and most importantly having FUN! 

We are currently interviewing candidates for our Summer 2024 Semester Internship program. 

Interns will have the opportunity to work directly with the company owners, create a customized learning experience, and gain practical hands-on experience in the sports industry. As owners, we have business experience in many different industries and are looking to mentor the next generation of entrepreneurs and professionals. You will learn about many different facets of running a small business. 

We look for outgoing, passionate, and self-motivated students.  You must enjoy sports, love kids, and be able to work independently.

Internship duration: June 2024 to early-August 2024

Shifts: Monday-Friday 8am-1pm, 8am - 3pm, or 8am - 5pm

What are the components of the internship program?

• Customer Service: We will teach you how to effectively communicate, influence, and interact with all types of customers, vendors, co-workers, and kids. From problem-solving to conflict management, you will learn how to confidently perform in a variety of business situations.
• Sales and Marketing: You will interact with our current customer base while helping build new relationships Interns will have the opportunity to actively sell Skyhawks programs to current customers, as well as new customers
•  Inventory Management and Control:  Proper equipment is essential when carrying out Skyhawks curriculum. You will learn to efficiently allocate equipment and inventory needed for camps and classes.

• Do you have reliable transportation?
• Are you taking this internship for credit?
• Are you able to commit to the full duration of the internship?
