24-02220 Revenue Branch Manager

The Office of Registration and Operations, Division of Operations has an opening for a Revenue Branch Manager. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide leadership and guidance to employees within the Automated Document Processing Branch.

As a Revenue Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and monitoring all activities of three sections within the branch. Attention to detail, good communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced, high production environment are necessary attributes required for this position.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the following, with minimal assistance:

  • Responsible for overseeing the Modernized Front End (MFE) processing system
  • Managing the workflow for MFE and the scanning of tax returns for the Department, including depositing money into the bank
  • Overseeing the creation and processing of deposits and the Revenue accounting process
  • Supervising full-time and temporary employees
  • Performing evaluations and approving timesheets
  • Working with other areas within the Division when necessary
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Additional/Supplemental Information:

  • Required to successfully complete a background investigation including an FBI criminal history record check (fingerprint check)
  • Required to be in compliance with all tax laws
  • Mostly at desk with computer
  • Will need to attend meetings frequently to give input, both in person and over the phone
  • Some travel for training, education, and research

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

 

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of experience in the processing, administration, preparation, or auditing of taxes or related tax information.

 

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Graduate study will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

 

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Professional experience in the processing, administration, preparation, or auditing of taxes or related tax information will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.

Working Conditions

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
