DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will perform various assignments and participate in training programs designed to further competency and develop skills in the application of examining techniques. Additionally, you will be required to travel to different financial institution locations to assist with the examination process. You will conduct independent reviews of departments within these institutions and complete examinations under supervision. To develop your competency in examining financial institution records, operations, and procedures, you will engage in both formal and on-the-job training assignments, attend seminars, and study training materials. Your role will involve analyzing financial institution records to ensure compliance with relevant acts and regulations. This includes preparing or obtaining trial balances, reconciling assets and liabilities, and comparing them to previous years. You will also review the Statement of Income and Expenses, ensuring accurate reporting on quarterly Call Reports by reconciling it. Additionally, you will reconcile loan and lease losses and net worth accounts, as well as ensure the accuracy of general ledger balances for member share accounts, certificates of deposit, and loan accounts. Furthermore, you will review policies and planning documents such as loans, investments, funds management, capital plan, strategic plan, and budget.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • This position requires travel to financial institutions and required training sites located in areas both within and outside of the state.  - Real ID or passport is needed for out of state travel.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Most employees will start at the beginning level of the advertised salary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
 

  • A bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, economics or information technology including or supplemented by nine credits in accounting; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes nine college credits in accounting. 

Other Requirements:
