Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer position is a consultative, technical sales position.  Our customers are engineers involved in the design of automated manufacturing systems.  We size and select the systems based on Newtonian physics.  The position is 100% in office at our Dublin, OH headquarters.  There is occasional day travel visiting local clients and occasional overnight travel visiting industry trade shows and suppliers.  There is no cold calling or prospecting in this position.  Our website is so well known in the industry that we are busy fielding the inquiries that arrive through our sales email inbox.  

The 2 most important skills required for this position are math and organization skills.  It may take 2 years to develop confidence and competence in this position, however, with the bonus program, the candidate can quickly make over $100,000 annually.

We are a wholesale dealer for about 60 partners or vendors where we have a contract to be the authorized distributor.  This requires constant training in various technologies.  Following are solutions our Sales Engineers provide to our customers.

  1. Cartesian robotic linear motion systems based on ballscrew, timing belt, rack and pinion, and linear motor kinematics.
  2. Electric motors - synchronous, asynchronous. linear, rotary, DC, and Step.
  3. Closed loop feedback control systems based on programmable DSPs.
  4. Feedback devices and position measurement.
  5. Machine vision systems and laser sensors.
  6. Real time bus networks such as Ethercat, IO Link, and Etnhernet IP.
  7. Control panel components and industrial controls.
  8. PLC and industrial I/O and industrial wired and wireless communications.
  9. Linear and rotary bearings.
  10. Motor speed reducers and torque multipliers.
