Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Intern is responsible for the evaluation of the customer supply chain and provides a
structured analysis to identify supply chain improvement opportunities. As a Supply Chain Intern, you will
be responsible for using customer data and optimization tools to develop customer supply chain scenarios
to improve service, reduce cost, and increase revenue. You will work with all facets of the organization to
have an extensive and deep knowledge of our supply chain network. 

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Leverage data mining techniques to identify problems, analyze performance and develop. recommendations that support business objectives
  • Develop supply chain models, dashboards and tools that will be used to promote continuous improvement within the supply chain
  • Work with cross functional teams to develop models to solve supply chain business problems
  • Maintains Master Production Schedule (MPS) in accordance with jointly developed monthly plans and per management direction
  • Maintains FPO’s and PLO’s and Work Orders, RE-Plan based upon WO’s & FPO’s
  • Releases Relay Work Orders and schedules
  • Effectively releases and maintains work orders in support of monthly plans and production schedule
  • Questions, verifies, and approves the feasibility of schedule additions and changes within the planning horizon by reviewing MRP requirements with purchasing, updates/manages the work orders with production and updates MPS
  • Develops and maintains Recovery Schedules as required to meet customer demand and internal recovery to plan
  • Coordinate Planning and Production plans with Purchasing, Production and Product Teams to ensure all resources are available to support the plan
  • Supports new product development teams with inventory phase out/in plans and effectively launches new products and End of Life products, minimizing obsolescence

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Microsoft Office
  • SAP
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to deliver results in a highly dynamic and evolving environment
  • Experience in leading and managing projects with the ability to take ownership of the timeline and deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present to contributors and leadership
