Accounting Clerk

Job Description

We are looking for a versatile and customer-focused individual to join our team. This
position requires a candidate who can effectively engage with customers, address inquiries, manage billing-related tasks for multiple companies, and assist with general accounting tasks. Successful performance may lead to opportunities for promotion to Staff Accountant or other leadership roles. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our clients.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries through various communication channels (phone, email, chat).
  • Provide accurate and detailed information about services and billing inquiries.
  • Resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude towards customers.
  • Generate and process accurate and timely customer invoices.
  • Verify billing data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely billing procedures.
  • Address billing-related inquiries and discrepancies from customers.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment from customers.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve outstanding payment issues.
  • Work closely with customers to establish and maintain positive relationships.
  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
  • College degree or some accounting coursework in accounting is a plus.
  • Payroll experience is a plus
