Beyond The Box Studio is a software development consulting & IT services company that provides services geared towards pre-seed and seed round startups. Our mission is to help founders turn great business ideas into viable ventures, while also empowering marginalized and underrepresented peoples to build things that contribute to a better world. Through our provision of services such as software development, business development support, recruiting assistance, fundraising assistance, and more, we are a founder’s one-stop-shop to success. We are looking for an HR intern to work on our tech development team. 

As an HR intern you will play a pivotal role in providing valuable, user-focused solutions for clients that promote ease-of-use, customer satisfaction in each product’s target market. Your role will involve the creation of engaging and seamless user experiences, identification and execution of client needs, and crafting solutions for various digital assets. This is a paid position. 
 

Eligibility

  1. Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Strong organizational and communication skills.
  3. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  4. A passion for innovation and a commitment to the startup's mission.
  5. Excellent notetaking and networking skills. 
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

 

Responsibilities/Tasks

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial candidate screenings. Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive introduction to our company culture.
  2. Employee Relations: Brainstorm and suggest employee relations activities, including team-building events and communication initiatives. 
  3. HR Administration: Assist in streamlining HR records and database operations. 
  4. Training and Development: Contribute to the planning and execution of training programs. Assist in organizing professional development opportunities for employees.
  5. Compliance and Policies: Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Contribute to the development and updating of HR policies.
