Gallo Glass Maintenance Operations Internship 2024

The Glass Maintenance Internship Program is searching for qualified candidates to fill 3 - 6 month positions within our Gallo Glass plant. Interns will work closely with our Maintenance Technicians and Team Leads in one of our following areas: Facility and Reliability Maintenance, Production. Our Glass plant is responsible for the entire production process, from the blending and processing of wine to finished packaged products. The Intern will be working directly with the Maintenance team to aid in equipment readiness, preventative maintenance, and problem solving.

 

What You'll Do:

Essential Functions

• Participates in machinery trouble-shooting; documents repairs made.

• Replaces or repairs defective parts.

• Learn and apply basic facility maintenance skills to aid in applicable preventative maintenance.

• Learn and improve Glass environmental performance including utilities, waste water generation, water consumption, etc.

• Communicates, discusses, and shares information about equipment observations with other maintenance team members and team leads.

• Works on assigned projects.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Currently enrolled at a college or university working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or Engineering/Industrial Technology; OR a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering/Industrial Technology.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial/Engineering Technology.
  • Strong analytical problem-solver, process focused and leadership skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and skilled in managing multiple assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access), to include data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
