Floral Design Internship Summer 2024

We are looking to add a floral design intern to our team for our summer 2024 season (May-June)! This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to multiple facets of the bustling event and wedding industry in Charleston, South Carolina, with a focus on floral and event design. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced team environment with a passion for events and eye for design.

In this role you will:

• Have daily exposure to the event and wedding industry in one of the nation's top wedding destinations.
• Learn the logistics of a floral design studio, from product acquisition and management to day of event production.
• Learn first hand how an entrepreneurial business is run; from marketing and sales, client relationship management, design and production, project management, and more!
• Have the opportunity to get creative - from tablescapes and event backdrops to the floral arrangements themselves.
• Hands-on experience with luxe blooms from around the world!

Responsibilities will include:

• Assistance with inventory processing and preparation
• Assistance with event day set up and strike
• Assistance with floral and event design
• Assistance with content creation for social media platforms

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 office days per week + event days *Weekend availability is required* 
• Access to a reliable mode of transportation
• A background or interest in hospitality, entrepreneurship, or fine arts are recommended

Caroline, founder and Creative Director, has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and founded Juniper & Jasmine after seeing a need in the Charleston market for a more tailored, personalized approach to floral event design. Elizabeth, co-owner and Director of Operations, joined the business to streamline business operations and logistics in order to sustain the business’s rapid growth. Specializing in wedding and events, our focus is creating timeliness, bespoke designs for each of our clients while incorporating unique, luxe blooms from around the world.
