Mental Health Therapist

Mental Health Therapist 

(LPC, LPC-IT, LMFT, LMFT-IT)

Ideal candidates will be proficient in working with various age groups and presenting problems, including individuals, couples, and families.

The work schedule allows for flexibility for the ideal candidate with a minimum of 20 client hours per week, but not limiting to the amount you would like to have.

We offer a staffed, modern, and professional offices with individual private offices that come with furniture, but open to individual design based on the providers style preferences. Our staff is made up of various licensures including LPC's, LMFT's, LCSW's, Bachelors level providers and School Psyc providers. 

Monthly group staff meetings for supervision and collaboration. Weekly individual supervision and support for all staff. IT providers receive free licensure supervision through Grace Counseling.

Psychotherapy Skills:

Psychotherapy includes the diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders, conditions, or addictions through the application of methods derived from established psychological or systemic principles for the purpose of assisting people in modifying their behaviors, cognitions, emotions, and other personal characteristics, which may include the purpose of understanding unconscious processes or intrapersonal, interpersonal, or psychosocial dynamics. 

 

 Job Duties:  This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

*Provides individual, couples, family, and/or group psychotherapy services to adult and/or child/minor clients in a school, office, out-of-home care setting and/or home setting.
*Conducts assessments of client needs using clinical interview, objective diagnostic tools, and collateral contacts.
*Develops treatment plans collaboratively with clients and other providers.
*Provide agreed upon and necessary therapeutic services in keeping with strength-based, evidence-based best practice standards.
*Complete required documentation within required timelines and expectations per GCFS, regulation, payers, and practice standards.
*Maintains client records.
*Makes recommendations within the client team and scope of practice.
*Testify at legal proceedings as required by law and/or role.
*Attend client/recovery team meetings (If servicing a CCS client)
*Attends and participates in staff development programs, including in-service training, *staff meetings, and professional seminars.
*Within your scope of practice, provide consultation to peers.
*Actively participate in clinical supervision meetings as required to meet best practice and licensure standards.
*Work a flexible weekly schedule that includes some evening hours for client appointments.
* Work directly with Program Supervisor or Manager to set expectations for scheduling clients. Schedule is based on client need.
*Expected to understand productivity expectations and meet those standards that have been established for the role and the program.
*Works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Director 
*Provides clinical/peer support to CCS team and attends CCS monthly team meetings (if providing CCS services). 
*Engages primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
*Maintains clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback.
*Carries a minimum caseload of 20.
*Significant travel to various locations for meetings, trainings, or to perform clinical responsibilities as needed. Travel will vary depending on case load. (CCS only)
*Maintains clinical documentation, which includes fidelity documentation that must be completed for every client to guide clinical planning, GCFS documentation due to clinic status, documentation required for M.A. and/or CCS billing, and in some cases, documentation requested by the referral source
*Participates in supervision and consultation (this occurs for a minimum of 1 hour/week)
*Participates in outpatient-specific training, as well as agency trainings
*Demonstrates flexibility to allow for specific time spent on each responsibility varies depending on intensity of client need during a given week, therapist need for additional supervision, geography, etc.
*Participates in GCFS trainings throughout the calendar year
*Participates in all additional agency-specific trainings (e.g., HIPAA, cultural competency, etc.).
*Participates in a team with weekly supervision and consultation
*Performs other duties and special projects as required.
 

Requirements:

  • Licensed or In-Training License as a Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor License in Wisconsin.
  • Master's level Internship students may also apply

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $80.00 per billable hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
