The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

Your Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Student-Advanced Engineering for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in Fargo, North Dakota, you will...

  • Work closely with engineering personnel to support Advanced Engineering projects: experiments, testing, and data analysis
  • Document results in a neat and organized fashion
  • Operate and maintain analytical laboratory equipment to support Advanced Engineering development and analysis work
  • Perform other technical tasks as directed by a supervisor or mentor
  • Assemble and disassemble electronic modules and fixtures using hand tools
  • Read and understand the operating instructions of laboratory equipment

This position is available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in the Sciences, Engineering, or related fields; advanced degrees encouraged to apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited university
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Graduation date of May 2025 or later
  • Ability to work 15-31 hours/week during the academic year and summer semester
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours over the summer
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Fargo, North Dakota, on a daily basis year-round
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to interpret data and self-direct accordingly
