Join the Student Run Business Organization as we manage the Gift Shop at the Weidner, where we're seeking enthusiastic student workers to help run and expand our startup venture! We're looking for reliable self-starters with excellent communication skills who are eager to learn and grow. As a student leader, you'll have the opportunity to dedicate 5-15 hours per week during summer and throughout the 2024-2025 school year, and the option to earn internship credit. Collaboration is key, so the ability to work effectively in a team is essential. You'll gain valuable experience in market analysis, social media management, vendor outreach, and inventory management. We want to tailor this experience to your skills, strengths, and areas of interest! Possible projects you would complete include: 

  • Creating an annual report for the Gift Shop
  • Writing an updated, detailed business plan (including target market, Cost of Goods Sold, Market Research)
  • Obtaining new vendors
  • Redesigning the physical space through display creation
  • Creating a more streamlined inventory process
  • Writing a training handbook for cashiers and for leadership team members
  • Developing an employee recruiting action plan and timeline, including succession planning
  • Exploring options around online sales

This role includes periodic meetings and events, but otherwise the schedule is flexible. Students can work in person, remotely, or a mix of both. 

Looking for an internship? You have the option to sign up for internship credit through the Cofrin School of Business in this role. 

Candidates must be enrolled at UW-Green Bay while employed in this role, and there is no requirement for a specific major. Application documents will be reviewed by the current team of Student Run Business Organization student leaders.
