Laboratory Unit Supervisor
Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Food and Drug Administration, Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA), Office of Regulatory Science (ORS). This position will be utilized by both the Medical Product, Specialty, and Tobacco Labs and Programs (OMPSLO) as well as Food/Feed Labs (OFFLO). The first level supervisor, plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Laboratory unit.

Duties
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the laboratory unit.
- Provides occupational specific technical direction to subordinate scientists by using creative application of scientific principles.
- Plans and makes recommendations on the future needs in the scientific specialty area such as new analytical instruments, techniques, and methods.
- Balances workload and provides advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of public health and regulatory science affairs
