Junior Project Coordinator

Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a collaborative and proactive individual to join our Modeling team at the Houston, TX office in the role of Project Coordinator. This position entails coordinating and facilitating energy modeling projects within the residential construction sector. Reporting to the energy modeling manager, the Project Coordinator will oversee the seamless execution of energy modeling analyses, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and project requirements.


 

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand energy modeling project requirements.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and execution of energy modeling analyses for residential structures.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary data and input for modeling purposes.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on energy modeling outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports outlining energy analysis findings and recommendations for enhanced energy performance.
  • Act as a point of contact for project-related inquiries and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

 

Requirements

 

 Years of Experience/Other Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with residential construction practices and architectural plans.
  • Prior experience with energy modeling software (e.g., REMRate, Ekotrope, EnergyPro) preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient understanding of current energy codes and programs.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze residential architectural plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, PDF programs, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with web navigation and online research preferred.
