The My Place Program at Kutztown University seeks to increase retention and graduation rates of students on the autism spectrum who are enrolled in degree-seeking programs, and to prepare such students for professional employment via the provision of multi-layered support. The My Place Mentor / Facilitator works collaboratively with the Disability Services Office staff and My Place staff to provide direct support services to KU students on the autism spectrum. The My Place Mentor / Facilitator is additionally tasked with helping to identify and develop related resources and plan programs that support student success and employability.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Disability Services, this position is a two-semester (fall and spring), 20 hour per week graduate assistantship with a stipend and tuition remission for 9 credits per semester. Availability during afternoon hours and at least two evenings per week is required.

This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester.  Please contact Megan Rutter for additional information if needed at rutter@kutztown.edu.
