The Biology Graduate Lab Assistant will assist instructors in preparing labs for the BIO 104 Principles of Biology laboratory for science majors and BIO 010 Introduction to Biology laboratory for non-science majors in the Fall, and for BIO 104 Principles of Biology labs, BIO 010 Introduction to Biology labs and BIO 012 Introduction to Biology: Human Biology laboratory for non-science majors in the Spring. This will include making solutions, preparing Petri plates, setting up and taking down laboratories, maintaining living materials such as plants and cultures of microorganisms, and inventorying and organizing laboratory materials. In BIO 104, the Graduate Assistant would work on lab setup in collaboration with the Biology Lab Technician/Storeroom Clerk and the supervising faculty member, and in BIO 010 and 012, the Graduate Assistant would work on lab setup in collaboration with the BIO 010/012 Lab Coordinator and the supervising faculty member.

This position is for 20 hours/week of work (300 hours for the spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 9 graduate credits plus a stipend of $3,750 per semester.  Please contact Christopher Sacchi for additional information if needed at sacchi@kutztown.edu.
