Duties
• Create work schedule for student lab monitors and tutors
• Schedule and help facilitate training sessions for new monitors
• Create simple signage and posters used to communicate important lab information to faculty and staff
• Coordinate workshops and track workshop attendance
• Provide guidance to student monitors with technical concerns and workflow
• Liaison with Digital Technology Specialist concerning equipment technical issues
• Communicate to Faculty Coordinator any technical concerns or workflow concerns
• Track, document, and assess sales and budget
• Track inventory and communicate with department Office Manager and Faculty Coordinator to place new inventory orders
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the labs
• Print student and faculty projects on large format inkjet printers, textile printers, and laser printers
• Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Student in Art & Design, Art Education or Business are preferred. Students in other graduate programs will be considered if they possess relevant work experience.
• Ability to work independently
• Proactive and solution-based mindset
• Comfortable multi-tasking
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Adobe applications (Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop) or experience with large format digital or inkjet printing
This position is for 13.3 hours/week of work (200 hours for the spring semester), and it provides a tuition waiver for 6 graduate credits plus a stipend of $2,500 per semester. Please contact Holly Tienken for additional information if needed at tienken@kutztown.edu.
