Health Services Network is looking for an Assisted Living Administrator to lead Cornerstone Residence's  team of Licensed Assisted Living Directors in providing the highest quality of care to our residents. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of the unique needs of seniors, as well as experience in long-term care administration. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Prefer 3-5 years’ experience in long-term care or related setting.
  • Experience of at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Possess business acumen with financial responsibilities. 
  • A Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) or willing to obtain.

Must be of good moral character.

Must have advanced training in health care administration.

Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to health care administration.

Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.

Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc.

Duties & Responsibilities  

The Administrator has overall operational responsibility for the efficient operation and management of multi-assisted living communities, in accordance with general objectives and policies.  The Administrator has principal responsibility through communication with the Clinical Nurse Supervisor (RN), Assisted Living Directors and appropriate staff.

The Administrator presents to the CEO matters and issues requiring policy and implements such policies as established; is responsible for the overall supervision of the Assisted Living Directors, interprets personnel policies; implements annual budget and effective accounting system; advices to the CEO on pertinent issues of the assisted living; meets licensing requirements through knowledge of state and federal regulations governing assisted living facilities; authorizes purchases of supplies and equipment; directs the overall administrative operations of the assisted livings and promotes favorable public relations. 

Budget and Planning Functions

 Review and interpret monthly financial statements and provide such information to the CEO.

Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an adequate accounting system that reflects the operating costs of the assisted living and services.

Keep abreast of the economic condition/situation and adjust as necessary to assure the continued ability to provide quality care.

To ensure each facility is operating in compliance with all state, federal, and county regulations and be responsible for ensuring compliance, through audits and systems in place as well as to assure customer satisfaction, staff satisfaction. etc

Keep abreast of changes in the law that may impact the operation of the facilities such as safety/OSHA, Fire department, DHS, MDH, etc   Maintain current knowledge of long-term care trends, practices, & regulations

Develop & implement policies and procedures to ensure quality resident care and other services such as dietary, maintenance and working with the Clinical Nurse Supervisor in developing and implementing QA programs and regulations. 

Supportive communication with the Licensed Assisted Living Directors (LALD) and makes visits to each facility as needed to meet with the LALD and review LALD reports.

Serve as a liaison between the facilities and regulatory agencies.

Work closely with the CFO to prepare and monitor the budget for each facility.  Working closely with the LALD, budgeting, & assuring appropriate resident care.  Negotiate and maintain contracts with outside vendors as needed.

Assure each facility creates a community where everyone feels welcome and valued.  That each facility has a complete social and activities program that promotes happiness and well-being, as well as promoting a positive atmosphere.
