Position Summary: Employee will assist with geologic mapping and geological data collection in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in southern Colorado and sample preparation in the Department of Geosciences at Colorado State University.
 

Responsibilities: Collect georeferenced structural data and rock samples in collaboration with graduate students. Assist with cutting rock samples and preparing billets for petrographic thin sections.
 

Required qualifications: Completion of upper-level coursework in geosciences, including Structural Geology, Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology, and Summer Field Camp.
 

Preferred Qualifications: Outdoor experience and demonstrated excellence in geologic mapping.
 

Number of weekly working hours: 10

Hourly Pay Rate: $18
