Social Media Intern

Hello there! Welcome to Story Leaf, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and engaging global audiences on critical socio-political health issues through the power of entertainment media. 

 

As a Social Media Intern at Story Leaf, you will play a crucial role in amplifying our mission to a global audience. This position calls for a creative, motivated, and socially savvy individual who can manage and grow our social media presence. You'll be instrumental in reaching new demographics, enhancing engagement, and driving initiatives that support our goal of a healthier, greener, and brighter future.

 

Job Duties: 

  • Content Management: Help craft and schedule compelling content that aligns with Story Leaf’s mission, including but not limited to posts, stories, and videos across multiple platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and more).
  • Audience Engagement: Actively engage with our community by responding to comments, messages, and participating in relevant conversations. Your goal is to foster a vibrant, interactive community passionate about our cause.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics to understand engagement levels, audience growth, and content effectiveness. Utilize insights to optimize future strategies.
  • Campaign Development: Collaborate with our team to create and implement innovative social media campaigns that promote our educational content, raise awareness on key issues, and support fundraising efforts.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices. Be our go-to person for fresh ideas on how to engage our audience and spread our message.

 

Qualifications: 

  • A passion for Story Leaf’s mission and a personal commitment to environmental and health consciousness.
  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with an eye for storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Whether you want to gain experience or earn college credit, we'd love to have you on board if you're passionate about making a difference. You'd be expected to chip in about 10-20 hours a week, but in return, you'll get to connect with our lively online community, reach out to new audiences, and support charitable projects focused on building a healthier, cleaner, and happier world for everyone.
