Equipment Engineering Co-Op - Fall 2024

WORK LOCATION: Billerica, MA

Core Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the capital equipment engineering / project management group in the introduction of new manufacturing equipment at various phases of the project lifecycle. This includes activities ranging from establishing the existing need and developing a SOW through coordinating installation activities and V&Q sign-off.

In this role, you will:
• Engage with a cross-functional project team including facilities, EHS, R&D, maintenance and reliability, controls engineering, quality, and operations to assist in various project management activities
• Collaborate with all functions to complete project tasks such as detail design refinement and action item closure
• Assist in documentation completion such as SOW, PSSR (pre start-up safety review), FAT, SAT, DIOPQ, and SOP's
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on equipment design, schedule, action item follow-up, etc. 
• Analyze project finances to provide updated budget and spend forecasts
• Utilize CAD platforms to evaluate proposed vendor designs and develop 2D/3D designs as needed
• Work hands-on to evaluate existing equipment on the production floor and assist in introduction and testing of new equipment
