Brand Design Intern

Summary

At CL Corbin & Co., we understand brand design as the art of creating a unique identity that communicates the essence of who we are, engaging and inspiring our audience. We are seeking a highly inventive Brand Design Intern with a passion for brand identity development to translate conceptual ideas into compelling visual identities and representations across both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of current design software and excel in every phase of the design process, from initial concept to final deliverable. Working collaboratively with various teams within our company, the Brand Design Intern will be adept at receiving both written and spoken directions and transforming them into designs that resonate. The successful applicant will demonstrate a profound comprehension of branding, marketing, and the nuances of style and layout variability dependent on the project at hand.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide array of projects, focusing particularly on the development and reinforcement of brand identities.
  • Interpret strategic vision into high-quality design within established brand identities, ensuring coherence and impact across all visual representations.
  • Conceptualize and refine brand design elements by hand or with software, making critical decisions regarding color, text, font style, imagery, and layout to best convey the brand's essence.
  • Oversee the design process and management of all project materials, applying best practices in content management systems for optimal presentation and impact.
  • Employ trend intelligence and a comprehensive understanding of the current and historical context of the business and market to design and execute with a focus on brand identity.

Qualifications & Education

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in brand design, graphic design, art, or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills, with a focus on brand development.
  • Academic and professional experience with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Figma.
  • Demonstrated experience in brand or graphic design, supported by a strong portfolio that highlights brand identity projects.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills to effectively share design visions and ideas.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
