Summer 2024 Disposables Engineering Intern


Job Summary

We currently have an opportunity for a Summer 2024 Intern in the Medical Device Division to join the Engineering Disposables team at our Lake Zurich, IL Facility.



  • Assist engineers with daily activities involving functional testing of new or modified components and materials used in blood collection single-use devices.
  • Tasks include data collection and analysis; test protocol and report writing; test schedule planning and management
  • Creating and organizing engineering specifications, CAD, detail drawings, and supporting engineering documentation.
  • Effectively work with cross-functional teams to provide solutions.



  • Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college, university PharmD program. Biomedical or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • Be classified as a minimum of a sophomore with a with minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Must be planning to return to school at the end of their break.
  • Demonstrated design project experience. 
  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement. 
  • Excellent documentation skills and laboratory practices. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Intern candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Our internships are unable to accommodate OPT. 
  • Interns are responsible for their own housing.
