Behavioral Therapist

The Minnesota Autism Center (MAC), a non-profit organization, is currently seeking entry-level  Behavioral Therapists to provide direct 1:1 therapy and group therapy to children and adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Minimum qualifications:

Please note that while this position does not require any prior licensure, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be able to pass a Department of Human Services background study.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree, or be enrolled in a bachelor's program, in a relevant major (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, etc.). Minors and certificates do not fulfill this requirement.
  • Be willing to assist with any client hygiene needs (e.g. toileting, diapers, etc.). We cannot provide exemptions from this responsibility.
  • Be able to meet the following physical requirements (reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions):
    • Frequently kneel, bend, stoop, etc.
    • Run and quickly walk, and get up from chairs and floors quickly.
    • Remain physically engaged and on your feet for up to 8 hours at a time.
    • Implement physical holds when safety of the client or staff is at risk.
    • Shuffle your feet.
