Program Supervisor - Prevention Services

Annual Salary: $52,000 to $55,000

Duties & Responsibilities

  • A leadership position providing oversight over Eckerd Connects Prevention Programs in Brevard.   This position is responsible for the successful implementation of assigned programs and staff to include, organizing, managing, and evaluating the delivery of  program services in accordance with Eckerd Connects policies, procedures, goals, and business plans.
  • Ensures adherence to Program policies, procedures and compliance with contract requirements and applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, ordinances, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates through reports, analysis of data, work plans and other documentation to the Program Manager/Director. Assist with tracking and inputting data as needed and assigned. Following up with recividism rates and reporting to management.
  • Assures all required reports, documentation, and data necessary to meet contractual obligations, community inquiries, management decision, and advocacy needs is collected, entered and organized for proper and timely submittal and/or presentation.  Ensuring assigned staff maintain program/department data entry into systems through accurate and timely input of referrals, client and/or staff demographics, billing, attendance, event, and testing data.  Systems may include, but are not limited to EHR, CFCHSData.org (Five-Points), Mindshare, HMIS, FSFN, CMS, PBPS (CPG), etc. Ensure aftercare follow-up data is collected as required by Eckerd Connects policy and contractual requirements.
  • Support the Manager/Director in developing procedures to ensure that program outcome measures comply with statutorily mandated benchmarks.  Conducts regular supervision with all staff. Conducts school-site training with staff to develop effective prevention service implementation.
  • Provides consultation with staff and providers as required related to service delivery issues and under the guidance of the Program Manager/Director.
  • Support and provide individual training to staff. Complete training as required on transition core services.

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited College or University, in Human Services Related Field required.   Master’s degree preferred.
  • Two years of prevention and intervention program experience; five years in the human services field.
  • Advanced knowledge in DCF Community-Based Programming.  Knowledge of School-Based Prevention Programs.  Advanced computer literacy: database management, spreadsheet, word processing, internet, email.  Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.  Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.  Training and training development for small and large groups.  Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail are required and the candidate must be able to meet designated deadlines.  Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd Connects Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.  Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.  Regular sitting, working at computer keyboard and desk, standing to file or retrieve documents in filing cabinet.

About Our Program:

Eckerd Connects’ Prevention/Intervention Counseling services are provided to all students in Grade K-5 through individual or group counseling which combines character education with evidence-based substance abuse and violence prevention interventions.  Evidenced-based Substance Abuse Prevention Curricula is taught in group settings, aimed at building, and strengthening students’ social skills, impulse control, decision making, and self-esteem, and delivered through weekly sessions which include role playing, modeling, thematic art projects, conflict resolution games and recreational activities.  Students in need of more intensive interventions receive additional individualized counseling.  Additionally, the program involves students in community service projects that relate to their specific intervention plans and goals. 

School Based prevention services provide prevention education to students through a Universal Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) model called Hi-Five.  This is a multicomponent program that combines school-based prevention and intervention practices specifically designed to promote young people's SEL.  Hi-Five Clubs provides students with opportunities to contribute to their school and community and experience the satisfaction, sense of belonging and enhanced motivation that comes from such involvement.
