Duties and Responsibilities:
- ·Performing basic professional and technical engineering tasks ranging from inspections, reporting, plan preparation/review to contract administration.
- Review drawings, specifications, cost estimates, project schedules, and other work for accuracy, presentation, and conformance with established construction/engineering practices and applicable codes and standards.
- Perform field observations of construction projects to monitor progress and verify conformance to design drawings/specifications and applicable codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed written reports of performed field observations identifying any deviation and non-conformance with the design drawings/specifications and applicable codes and standards.
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor as requested by the Client in order to determine feasibility of the proposed retrofit and/or repair.
- Attend various internal and external meetings regarding assigned projects or issues, and respond to questions and inquiries from various individuals, groups, organizations, or companies regarding a wide range of engineering topics and issues.
- Strictly adheres to the office standards, policies and project schedules. Timely inform project manager and/or department head regarding any conflicts/issues that relate to his/her work.
- Learning is a required assignment for all employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required. Preference for a degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
- 0-2 years of pre-or-post degree work experience involved in construction, design, inspection or estimating in either a professional or educational environment.
