Instructional Design & Product Support Specialist

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN AND PRODUCT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

New Pig is currently seeking an Instructional Design and Product Support Specialist to help design product and corporate training programs. This role will also support customers and product related questions as needed. This position requires a positive and detail-oriented individual who is focused on continual learning and development. 

Position located at our Duncansville, PA location. Shift is 8:00 – 4:30pm. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Design, create, and deploy immersive educational experiences as well as instructional material (training programs, courses, & guides) to optimize learning
  • Use core instructional design principles and theories to maximize learning
  • Create interactive learning tools and educational activities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts for lesson planning
  • Design, record, and edit training videos to be used in course design
  • Assess learner progress and align the content with their needs
  • Research and implement new technologies into instruction
  • Evaluate and maintain existing product training content
  • Participate in new product development to prepare for new product launches and course creation
  • Continually keep current on product, industry, and regulatory subjects by completing research and training
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • In-depth understanding of instructional design models and learning theory
  • Ability to navigate learning management and product information systems
  • Proficiency in course development software
  • Clear and effective course and curriculum planning skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe design tools
  • Videography and editing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of environmental science, biology, chemistry and/or safety science as well as environmental and workplace regulations preferred
  • Concrete verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to continually multitask in an efficient manner
  • Previous project management and customer support/service experience preferred
