Part Time Video Editor Freelancer

Chendesigns Interiors is a luxury interior design studio based in Los Angeles, CA. The full-service design firm offers ground-up build, full-scale renovation, and comprehensive furnishing and decor services. The team works in close collaboration with architects and builders, overseeing every aspect of the design process. Currently only accepting residential and retail projects.

 

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Freelance Video Editor. The Video Editor will be responsible for helping the team with post-production on YouTube Videos (@anniechnnie) and Instagram Reels (@chendesigns) tasks such as, video editing, video color grading, motion graphics, and graphics creation. This is a remote role.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand project goals and target audiences.
    Edit and assemble video footage from various sources, including interviews, B-roll, and graphics.
  • Apply color correction, transitions, and sound effects to enhance visual and audio storytelling.
  • Source and implement royalty-free music and sound effects to elevate the overall production value.
  • Create engaging video content for various social media platforms, including Instagram Reels and YouTube.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and consistency in all video edits.
  • Meet established deadlines and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Possesses 1-2 years of experience in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing their skills.
  • Is proficient in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or CapCut
  • Has a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually compelling content.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Videos created will be in the category of interior design and lifestyle vlogs.
  • Having the knowledge in Chinese Mandarin would be a plus, but not necessary.
