Fundraising Assistant for New Homeless Shelter and Soup Kitchen

The Goodwill VISTA partnership AmeriCorps is a 1 year National Service Opportunity in the State of Maine.

Support fundraising efforts to construct a new community center to enhance Trinity Jubilee Center’s programming for the hungry, homeless, and refugees.

The member will support the capital campaign, working behind the scenes and providing support to the capital campaign committee, logging donations and thanking donors, helping to organize fundraising events, and recruiting volunteers, At times when the campaign slows down the AmeriCorps member will work with the Center’s staff to assess and facilitate improvements to ongoing operations to help programs operate more efficiently and successfully. The AmeriCorps member will work directly with the Trinity Jubilee Center’s executive director and chair of the board of directors, as well as the consulting firms hired to manage the fundraising campaign and the project. They will have a front-row seat to high-level fundraising, as the campaign solicits six-figure donations, learn valuable campaign management skills, and make connections with the business, government, and other leaders serving on the campaign committee.

The AmeriCorps member will support the Center’s largest project ever: designing, fundraising for, and constructing a new facility. The member will support the capital campaign, working behind the scenes and providing support to the capital campaign committee, logging donations and thanking donors, helping to organize fundraising events, and recruiting volunteers.
