Materials Specialist
Job Description Summary
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute cycle counting, packaging purchasing, manager expense and chemical materials and coordinate with suppliers for returning discrepant material.
- Basic Oracle Knowledge Development and Understanding
- Basic SSP Purchasing Knowledge (Indirect Material)
- Basic PFEP Understanding and Planning Parameter
- Basic Billing and Accounting Knowledge
- Understanding and Running Cycle Count Program (Following up on discrepancies)
- Planning and Purchasing Packaging Materials
- Facilitate and Process NCR's and MRB Material
- Basic understanding of transactions and performing transactions within Oracle
- Basic Understanding of Lean and Participating in Lean Kaizen Events
- Basic Direct Material Purchasing Utilizing Oracle
- Understanding Supply / Demand and Basic Planning Parameters
- Entry level understanding into Enterprise / ERT / Seibel / MWS
- Further Refining Lean Understanding and Understanding Standard Work
Required Qualifications
- This role requires basic experience in the Manufacturing & Materials Planning and Execution. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
