SUMMARY OF WHAT YOU’LL DO

Get practical experience before moving into a career. In this role, you’ll work as part of a small research team diving into the challenge of understanding stroke physiology using wearable sensors. You’ll:

  • Manage incoming clinical study data, integrating parallel but disparate data from multiple sources into a single, comprehensive database.
  • Work with the research team to design and execute data collection experiments, and analyze the data to generate new insights that help extend the physiological understanding.
  • Assemble and test wearable device units, preparing prototypes for use in clinical studies.


 WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • Currently pursuing studies in Biomedical Engineering, Data Science or similar role with a strong interest in wearable technology and clinical research
  • Experience with managing and handling physiological/sensor data, including programming (python, Matlab or similar)
  • Experience with physiological signals and data collection
  • Good communication and collaboration skills at all levels
  • Proactive, can-do attitude
  • Strong research orientation
  • Ability to exercise sound and ethical judgment, and maintain data confidentiality
  • Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced start-up setting

Salary Range: $30/hour

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Location: Campbell, CA
  • This is a hybrid position - 2-3 days a week onsite
  • This job does not offer relocation or housing stipend
