Marketing Media and Business Development Intern

Pure Solutions is looking for an intern with experience in photography, videography, and video editing and a general knowledge of social media, marketing, and business development.

The owner's Brian Whittemore and Trevor Nelson started the business when Brian was just in high school, and the company has been growing rapidly each year since 2009.

We have thousands of customers in Boston, MetroWest, South Shore, Rhode Island, and Cape Cod, including families, pre-schools, restaurants, and municipalities. As the adverse side effects of harmful chemicals used in traditional lawn care & pest control have become evident, a huge market for organic alternatives has emerged. The demand for our services has never been higher, and Pure Solutions is in a prime position as the leader in eco-friendly and organic services in New England.

What Your Weekly Focus Would Be:

Capturing Photos/Videos in the Field

  • - Go with our field specialists to photograph and video our lawncare, tick & mosquito services
  • - Editing videos and photos you take to create posts and other media for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. 

Social Media Content Creation/Editing

  • -Aiding the marketing team in creating/brainstorming social media marketing materials
  • -Doing research on various related topics for blogs/newsletters/social media posts
  • - General aid regarding weekly social media posts and marketing content projects

Client Experience 

  • Answering phone calls, responding to emails/texts/survey responses 

Sales

  • Generate new customer proposals, soil test analysis upsells, follow ups via email and phone calls.
     

Help With Outdoor Events

  • - Helping the marketing team with outdoor open markets (setting up tent/outdoor space, talking with possible clients about our services, etc.)
  • - Aiding the marketing team in planning events in the community

  • - Interest and experience in film/photography

Physical Requierments

- Can travel to Weston, MA (during the summer/possibly also during the semester)

-Will be comfortable traveling with our field specialists to capture content

-Will be comfortable helping with outdoor open markets/events this summer

Software you will use and become proficient with:

 

We welcome all applicants, but our current preference is for someone who is a junior or senior and would be open to working with us part-time through the semester and full-time when the semester ends.

We’re looking for this position to be filled ASAP, as someone could start even one day a week until the summer when we will need the intern full-time or part-time.
