WSP is currently initiating a search for a Field/Office Engineer for our Milwaukee office.
Your Impact
- The Field/ Office Engineer is responsible for ensuring daily contract compliance to project plans and specifications on construction projects and maintaining documentation to support quality specifications, payment, and project acceptance.
- Read, understand, and interpret project plans and contract documents.
- Identify possible issues in contract documents and propose solutions or refer them to the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or Project Coordinator as appropriate.
- Acts as liaison to monitor communication and exchange of information between the project manager, engineering team, management, contractors, and vendors. Coordinate all internal and external communication relative to the project.
- Assists in the review of the contractor’s project schedule and estimates resource and material requirements; maintain respective planning and scheduling updates throughout project life cycle.
- Works closely with project administrators and project manager to prepare reports detailing project costs, progress, risks, and opportunities for review by senior management.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
- Entry Level 0 to 3 years’ experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to include technical writing and oral communication.
- The ability to work as a team is essential.
- Ability to work in this country immediately required.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- WisDOT, County and Local Municipality policies and procedures preferred but not required.
- Hold WisDOT certifications in PCC, Aggregate, and Grading Technician preferred but not required.
