Summer Intern/Materials Science
Department Description:
Materials Science links product performance, processing, structure, and properties via materials characterization and particle engineering.
Job Description:
This position will allow the selected candidate to learn about drug substance and drug product development. Specifically, the candidate will either work on developing small molecule crystallization processes, or building structure-property-processing-performance relationships for drug substance and drug product.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry or similar disciplines.
- Basic understanding and ability to apply chemical engineering or physical chemistry concepts in a laboratory setting.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12 week assignment.
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience working in a laboratory
- Ability to design experiments and work independently in a laboratory setting

Candidates who are hired for an on-site role and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
