Position Description 

ACAC, Inc is looking for a Master-level (or Bachelor of Social Work), limited or fully licensed Professional Counselor to join our team to provide therapeutic services to clients. ACAC, Inc is a small, team-oriented behavioral health agency providing addiction and mental health services to clients in Grand Rapids and Muskegon and the surrounding areas. ACAC, Inc prides itself on professionalism and outstanding client care. Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Implement counseling/therapy for assigned clients. Prefer applicants to have experience in mental health therapy with ability to diagnose and treat.
  • Determine, provide, and arrange for needed internal and external services/interventions. Assist with discharge planning and processes, including identification of community-based resources, and provide referrals as part of the discharge plan. 
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of pertinent client information and client progress through electronic health record.
  • Position requires candidates with critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field preferred but will also consider bachelor’s in social work.  Limited or fully licensed.
  • Limited licensed professional counselors are encouraged to apply. Supervision can be provided by a LMSW or LPC.
  • Possess an active and in good standing master's level social worker or professional counselor license in the State of Michigan.
  • CAADC credential preferred
  • Experience and interest in working with children, families, and couples a plus.
