  • Serves as an Information Technology Specialist and member of a development, administration, and support team.
  • Within assigned areas, serves as a project team leader in the development, testing, deployment, problem analysis and sustainment of assigned AIS projects.
  • Assists and monitors lower graded Information Technology Specialists throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Over sees assignments and projects delegated to subordinate group members and reports on the status of assignments and projects.
  • Provides Information Technology Specialist support in the area of system, software, and infrastructure engineering.
  • Serves as a project team leader responsible for the development and support of one or more Automated Information Systems (AIS) projects.
  • Ensures all assigned projects follow DLA Transaction Services and DLA J6 Enterprise Change Management (CM) policies and procedures.
  • Provides technical support to end-users. Provides technical assistance, advice, and consultation to AIS personnel within the organization as well as other organizations.
  • Serves as a software and communications system administrator responsible for the following items on all assigned systems.
  • Develops and/or maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation in accordance with Agency guidelines.
  • Ensures all assigned projects are in compliancy with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs).
